Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy
If you are experiencing muscle spasms in your body, cryotherapy can help. We use cryotherapy treatments in our Bellevue, WA Crossroads Chiropractic office to give your affected soft tissues cooling relief and numb areas of your body that are painful. We constrict your blood vessels and reduce your skin's temperature by applying cold compresses to the affected areas.

Cryotherapy is perfect for reducing swelling from a soft tissue injury and prevents further injury while you are going through your healing process. It's an affordable therapy that Dr. Steven Kaplan performs right here in our office.

How Cryotherapy Works
This therapy uses a cryoprobe (needle-like applicator), imaging guidance and argon gas or liquid nitrogen to freeze and eliminate cancer cells and diseased tissue. A number of different skin conditions can be treated with this treatment as well as tumors in bones, kidneys, breasts, lungs and liver.

Common Uses of Cryotherapy
Our Bellevue, WA chiropractor, Dr. Kaplan, applies cryotherapy on your skin surface topically, by injection/needle biopsy or surgically. If you have eye and skin lesions, he uses topical cryotherapy. If your lesion is underneath your skin surface, he uses a needle-like applicator or probe to penetrate through your skin. Surgical cryotherapy is for extreme cases only.

Dr. Kaplan uses cryotherapy to treat:
  • Nodules
  • Skin Tumors
  • Skin Tags
  • Precancerous Skin Moles
  • Unattractive Freckles
  • Cervical, Prostate or Liver Cancers
  • Retinoblastomas
He also uses this therapy to treat tumors in your other body parts like your bones and spine, kidneys, breasts and lungs. This therapy has been shown to be very effective for most people.
